About Me

My photo
project based around the exploration of stone, and a passion for rock climbing. This body of work was inspired from a day of sport climbing in Llanberis, North Wales. The slate quarries were littered with large plates of loose stone. The beauty of the slate was the initial draw; however the true beauty of the stone is within its structural strength and versatility. Taking a traditional natural material and developing this into contemporary pieces of jewellery. Taking aspects of climbing gear and protection to influence the form of the objects I went on to explore the use of climbing knots with rope.
